After a long battle in the boardroom, the AC Ace name was revived and the car launched in 1997. A version of the Ace had been designed by International Automotive Design in 1991, and the prototype used a Cosworth turbo four-cylinder engine , which was replaced in the production with a modified Ford V6. The model didn't do well, with 48 sold before AC went into receivership. Pride Automotive Group later acquired the company and came up with the current Ace, with smoother body lines. The exterior was aluminium and composite, bonded to the stainless steel chassis to form a very stiff structure. Suspension consisted of double wishbones from and rear, with 10-inch (282mm) discs all around covered by wide 17-inch (436mm) alloys. Under the hood was all Mustang V8 again, as with the 1960s Shelby-built AC Cobra, though this time with sequential fuel injection and a supercharger. | Top speed: | 165 mph (264 km/h) | | 0-60 mph (0-95 km/h): | 5.5 sec | | Engine type: | V8 | | Displacement: | 302 ci (4,942 cc) | | Transmission: | 5-speed manual | | Max power: | 340 bhp (254 kW) @ 5,700 rpm | | Max torque: | 385 lb ft (522 Nm) @ 3,500 rpm | | Weight: | 3,330 lb (1,514 kg) | | Economy | 17 mpg (6km/l) |

We all know (usually from cultish movies) that red button with inscription N20, which causes the car to accelerate wildly and everything around becomes blurred. But do you know what exactly is “nitro“ and what does it involve?
As you already know (OK, maybe you don‘t), by injecting the nitrous oxide into the cylinders, we cause short-timed increase of power. This technology was developed during World war two by German aircraft engineers. This kind of performance-boost was used by recon planes when they got too close to stronger enemy combat aircraft. Later, other countries started to equip their planes with nitrous oxide injection, even though they knew, that this reduces the reliability of engine.
Since 1950, NASCAR racers doped their cars with nitrous oxide. Also their colleague Smokey Yunick, who first applied this system on a car, used this trick. Up to present day, there are some cheaters in NASCAR races, that use this kind of power improvement. In the early eighties, they started to use Nitro in drag races.
Today, injection of nitro is considered the same kind of engine tuning as for instance much more aggressive modification of crankshaft, increased compression ratio, sporting exhaust system. All these improvements lead to better performance. The advantage of this is high power, the disadvantage may be the short-time effect (10-20 second use is recommended). To use nitro safely, the throttle has to be entirely open and the engine revs should be above 2500 rpm at the time nitro is engaged. Have you guys seen the first Malaysian Drift Movie called Impak Maksima? It was the first try of Ahmad Idham. It features stuntmen and local professional drift racers including stuntman/choreographer Sir Meng Hu and Malaysia’s drift champion Tengku Djan Ley. Just after preview for press we can hear a lot of comment spread in the internet. However not only Impak Maksima, there's one more movie directed by Syamsul Yusof (the son of Yusof Haslam) called 'Evolusi KL Drift'. Film that cost about RM2 million which is about RM300,000 more than the making of Impak Maksima will present Farid Kamil and Fasha Sanda as the main cast. I still dont have a lot of info on this film but only looking at a few behind the scene video uploaded in youtube. In term of stunt action, looks like EKD more interesting because using the real car and stund acting not like IM whick is using CGI technique (which looks really funny). And for sure for those who frust with IM, EKD may be the reason to bring them to cinema. Just for open discussion below i put several clip from IM and EKD for you to comments.

Concept: Born from Jets, the Saab Aero-X ConceptBorn from Jets: GM emphasizes the point with Saab Aero-X concept.
By Editors of Motor Trend Photography by the Manufacturer Saab's Swedish jet aircraft heritage is the theme of the Aero-X, a concept that bows at the Geneva show in March. The two-seat sport coupe features a cockpit canopy in place of conventional doors. A 400-horsepower twin-turbo V-6 powers all four wheels and operates on 100-percent ethanol bio-fuel. GM has been struggling to keep its Swedish automaker distinctive, despite increased platform sharing. Saab says the Aero-X is inspired by aviation (Saab has built aircraft using Volvo engines) and Scandinavian brand heritage. Saab Aero-X Concept Talking points • Interior features glass-like"clear zones." • Better than sports-car cargo space with "twin-floor" rear stowage. • First project from the new Saab Brand Center in Sweden.
